PM boasts about Jamaica’s economy
Thursday Prime Minister, PJ Patterson painted a glowing picture of Jamaica's economic prospects as he gave an address at the Jamaica Business and Investment Forum in Kingston.
According to Mr. Patterson, the economy was in an expansion mode and business opportunities would soon abound for local and foreign investors.
He said his government was well underway to balancing the budget.
According to Mr. Patterson, large foreign exchange reserves had allowed the country to withstand the effect of several natural disasters and high oil prices last year.
Mr. Patterson boasted that his government's tight fiscal policies were responsible for the country experiencing the longest period of stability in several decades.
